Applus+ vehicle emission program in Spain and Andorra

    Applus+ Spain conducted over 2.5 million emissions inspections on motorised vehicles in Spain in 2011, ranging from heavy goods vehicles to passenger vehicles and motorbikes.

    Applus+ Spain are one of the main providers of vehicle technical inspection throughout the country of Spain. In 2011, they conducted over 2.5 million emissions inspections on motorized vehicles in Spain ranging from heavy goods vehicles to passenger vehicles and motorbikes.

    Applus+ Spain implement and adhere to stringent quality inspections to ensure each vehicle receives a full comprehensive emissions inspection. Using state of the art technology Applus employ highly qualified vehicle inspectors who carry out emissions inspections at any one of the Applus designated inspection facilities throughout Spain.

    The emission inspection conducted by Applus Spain is carried out in accordance with the maintenance of technical and quality standards and is accredited by external audits, provided by the National Entity of Accreditation (ENAC). Currently Applus Spain operates under and is accredited to the following quality standards: ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and ISO/IEC 17020.

    Applus+ Spain is well established in the field of technical and emission inspections and is classed as a one of the benchmark leaders in this field. Applus+ Spain also runs a number of education and awareness programs for law enforcement agencies and education agencies.

    In addition, Applus+ work in partnership with the Andorra ITVS, which have been the sole operator for roadworthiness inspection in the Principality of Andorra since 2006. In 2011, Andorra ITVS carried out 33,500 technical inspections which also include emission inspections.
