DESCRIPTION

The Cold Tunnel is authorized to perform both determination and verification tests of the global thermal transmission coefficient (K-factor), a crucial indicator for evaluating compliance with the ATP Agreement. This international framework ensures that perishable goods are transported under controlled temperature and insulation standards.

Our services cater to both vehicle manufacturers and transport companies seeking compliance for vehicles already in use. The tests include:

  • New vehicles and prototype units.
  • In-service vehicles (mandatory verification at 15 and 24 years of age, and every 3 years thereafter).
  • Imported vehicles over 6 years old.
  • Series production testing or voluntary inspections.

Our technical team supports clients throughout the process—from document handling to test execution—and provides expert advice on result interpretation and ATP certificate renewal.

To request an appointment, simply complete the application form with your vehicle’s technical data and submit it along with all required documentation (drawings, prototype certificate, technical file or ITV card). For bookings or inquiries, contact us at +34 649 48 00 36 or laboratoriofrio@sycitv.com.

This service is fully aligned with the ATP Agreement, Royal Decree 237/2000, and Order ITC/370/2021, ensuring full regulatory compliance for cold-chain transport vehicles.
